We have chosen Amazade, a service organization, to host us during our time in West Virginia. Since we will be one of the first groups to travel with their new program in Appalachia, many exciting opportunities lie ahead! No exact dates have been set so far, but the trip will happen some time in late June or early July.
We will be traveling to the small town of Williamson, WV to work alongside a project that has already been set up: Sustainable Williamson. Our main service work will relate to Sustainable Williamson, and its goal to provide better produce to the residents of Williamson in order to achieve a greater goal of increasing health in the town.
